Real estate

Elegance, light and realism

A property, no matter how unique, needs to be enhanced to attract maximum attention and generate emotions. A property purchase is often the result of a “coup de coeur”, for which photography is the only visual gateway.

How can you plan your first visit to a house or apartment without having an idea of the volumes and features of the property on offer?

The role of a real estate photographer is to highlight, through his or her work and the use of various techniques, the unique assets of the traditional or luxury properties entrusted to you.

Let the potential of real estate speak for itself

10 seconds is the average time a customer spends on a website in France. It’s therefore important to inspire confidence during the first 5 seconds, so that they can continue browsing your site. Before consulting a property online, the choice of photos to be used allows the customer to project themselves and find out more about the property’s features, and to contact you to ask for more information.

For example, you can use images of the exterior or architectural features of the property. Real estate ads with photos are viewed seven times more often, whether for apartments or villas in Paris, Montpellier or the whole of France. This justifies the use of photos taken with a professional camera.

Real estate photography is definitely one of the best ways to showcase your property, whether for sale or rent, or to enhance the value of your assets (villas, houses, apartments, vacation rentals, etc.).

When you call on the services of a professional photographer for your business, you can be sure of getting the best possible service to enhance your property through photography or video. Potential buyers are more likely to see the environment, layout, decoration, furnishings, choice of materials and volumes.

The real estate photography profession

The real estate photographer’s job is to produce a photographic and/or video report to portray the property and give you the benefits of post-production; choosing the best angle, staging, framing, lighting conditions, perspective corrections, brightness and exposure, backlight control, etc.

To optimize photo rendering and enhance the value of your property, there’s no substitute for the experience and techniques of a real estate photographer. The resulting photos can be used to communicate on the Internet and social networks. Before a visit or rental, they help you stand out from the competition and increase your transaction potential.

Real estate professionals don’t necessarily have the time or skills to take care of the visuals of a house or apartment they want to market. That’s why I offer my experience in real estate photography to free up your time and provide realistic, attractive images, ideal for your website. They increase your chances of visits and your sales potential without reducing your margins, because I adapt my packages when we work together over the long term.

As an individual, you’re probably wondering what’s the point of having your property shot by a professional photographer. If you want to sell quickly and attract potential buyers to arrange viewings, hiring a real estate photographer is a good idea to showcase your property. If you don’t generate interest, your chances of having people contact you will diminish. The same applies to seasonal rentals such as gîtes or chambres d’hôtes.

It’s also important to consider that real estate photographers are linked to professional real estate agencies. In fact, you can get more sales by working with a photographer accustomed to showcasing real estate. Owners planning to sell or rent will feel reassured when their property is taken care of. Hotels can also use a high-end photography service to promote their establishment and make it more attractive. Since customers are very sensitive to websites, it’s best to be sure of the quality of the visuals presented.

A real estate photographer is therefore an essential service for your sale or rental, especially in a highly competitive market, whether you manage areas such as Paris, Montpellier or others.

The real estate photography approach

To showcase villas, houses or properties during a photo shoot, there are several points to consider as a photographer:

  • Indoor, outdoor and surrounding shots if required,
  • Professional equipment and camera (wide-angle lens for the architecture of certain locations, remote flash, etc.),
  • Post-production (on Lightroom or Photoshop), for better detail and contrast.

How much does a real estate photographer cost?

Professional real estate photography generally costs between €150 and €300. For luxury real estate, prices often rise to between €300 and €500 per service.

Of course, it’s possible to find a cheaper solution, but you need to be sure that the number of shots will be the same, and that the quality of the photographs and retouching will be the same.

Of course, rates also depend on the project and its size. Don’t forget to ask for an estimate of the number of photos you’ll need to complete your ad. It’s also possible to discuss a fixed price (by the day or half-day).

This can be advantageous for both the photographer and your agency, but it is necessary to include additional conditions, such as the deadline for receipt of the photo (within 24 to 48 hours of shooting, generally for digital camera shoots).
